Education:  Errick matriculated through Greenville Public Schools where he graduated second in his class at T. L. Weston High School in 1995, second to his twin brother and law partner, Mississippi State Senator Derrick T. Simmons, Esq.  Errick later studied at Jackson State University, where he received a Bachelor in Business Administration in Economics in 2000. In 2002, Errick received a Masters in Arts in Economics from Howard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and received his Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law (HUSL) in 2005. 

Profession:  Attorney and Business Owner

Employer:  Errick, who is licensed to practice law in Mississippi, is the co-founder/co-owner of Simmons & Simmons, PLLC in Greenville (www.simmonspllc.com), a small law firm concentrating on the areas of personal injury, corporate law, criminal defense, family law, and juvenile justice.

Community Organizations: Errick is the current PTA President of Matty Akin Elementary School, serving his second year.  Errick is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association; National Bar Association; Magnolia Bar Association; American Bar Association; American Association of Justice; Mississippi Association of Justice; Greenville Rotary Club; serves on the board of E.E. Bass Foundation and Greenville Arts Council, and is also a proud Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and is a mason.

What goals do you want the city to accomplish this year? The goals I want the city to accomplish this year include, but are not limited to, join with the community and law enforcement to reduce crime; create safer and cleaner streets; ensure safer schools and higher academic standards; work with city, county, and state officials and economic development professionals to increase employment and training opportunities; respond to elderly health care needs; and develop more recreational facilities and activities for our youth.

Favorite thing to do in Greenville:  My favorite thing to do in Greenville is work with the community to create a better quality and quantity of life for all citizens in the City of Greenville.
