Betty Watkins Ward 4

Ward 4 comprises the northwestern part of the city of Greenville and is the home of several of Greenville’s largest employers, such as Master Foods (Uncle Bens) and US Gypsum Company. Many public schools and parks, the City Lakefront, including Shelben Park and riverboat gaming establishments, and the downtown area of Greenville are in Ward 4. Located in the downtown area are City Hall, the Police and Fire Department Headquarters, the Washington County Courthouse, the Federal Building, Walnut Street Entertainment District, famous Doe’s Eat Place and several retail businesses.

Betty Watkins is the elected representative for Ward 4. Mrs. Watkins is a registered
nurse, veteran of the United States Army, and has spent most of her life in the
City of Greenville. She is an active member of New Hope First Baptist Church
and many civic organizations.
