Kenneth Gines Ward 1

Ward 1, located in the center of the city, is surrounded by all the other Wards. It is the home of Greenville-Weston High School - Greenville Campus and the Greenville Mall as well as a majority of restaurants and retail stores.

The Councilman for Ward 1 is Kenneth L. Gines, who was elected to fill the seat after the death of Councilman Bill Burnley. Councilman Gines is now serving his second term as Ward 1 Councilman. He has been chosen by his fellow council members to beVice Mayor of the City.

He is employed with MASE/CWA Local 3570 as a Organizer. Kenneth and his wife Tamela Caver-Gines are the proud parents of Kayla N. Gines. Motto:  "If I can help somebody as I travel along this way.  Then my living will not be in vain."
