The Records Division of the Greenville Police Department is responsible for Keeping track of accidents and incidents reports. Copies of reports may be requested at no charge. Accident report may be requested at a charge of $10.00. Accident reports can be released to any party involved in the accident or an insurance agent of one of the parties involved.

In order to obtain a copy of a police report, Individuals must be named in the report or be the owner of property involved. Please call the Records Department at (662) 378-1526 ext: 227, 257 or 228. to ascertain if your report is available.  Bring picture identification with you when picking up the reports. An application for a criminal history record review can be obtained by signing a waiver to release information and a processing fee of $20.00 payable by money order or check to the Greenville Police Department. Greenville is a "close record" state, but they can release information to the applicant. Reports can be faxed. Additionally, some reports are not releasable. Insurance company requests for police reports are processed via U.S. Mail and faxed. Requests must be mailed in and include: the report number or full name of the party involved, a self-addressed stamped envelope and check for the cost of the report.

Attorneys can arrange to pick up reports if they can document they are the Attorney of fact, or have authorization from same. Others may be allowed to pick up copies of police reports if they have a signed written waiver from the involved party with a photocopy of the involved parties Driver’s License.
