The Media Relations Unit is responsible for coordinating the flow of information between the Police Department and the media. The unit operates under procedures and protocols established by the Chief’s Office. The personnel assigned to this unit provide external services by issuing press releases, handling information requests and providing interviews to representatives of the media. It also provides internal services to the Department by responding to the scene of newsworthy incidents and coordinating the interaction between the media and department personnel.
