Our Investigative Team is trained to investigate a wide range of crimes, including crimes against persons, burglary, fraud, identity theft, juvenile offenses, and a host of others. CID has the additional responsibilities of all crime scene processing, regulating pawn shops and maintenance of the department’s property and evidence room. The Criminal Investigation Division investigates all types of cases which include crimes against persons, and property crimes.

Greenville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is dedicated to thoroughly and professionally investigating all unsolved crimes occurring within its jurisdiction. The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for identifying and apprehending offenders, recovering lost or stolen property, locating, processing, documenting, gathering and evaluating evidence, regarding criminal activity, and assisting in the prosecution of those charged with criminal offense.
