Once he got started in business, Chuck went back to school to get advanced degrees in banking from Louisiana State University, Mississippi State University, University of Colorado, and Harvard University.

Community Organizations:
Chuck served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Foundation, Greenville Symphony, United Way, American Heart Association, Greenville Rotary Club and on the boards of numerous civic and local organizations. At St Joseph Catholic Church, Chuck has served as Chair of the Finance Committee. He was founding President of the Greater Greenville Housing and Revitalization Board, Greenville Arts Council and E.E. Bass Foundation. He also founded the Leadership Program for the Chamber of Commerce. He was also District Governor for Rotary District 6820 composed of 44 Rotary Clubs in Central Mississippi. He chaired The Smithsonian Tribute to the Delta Festival in Greenville which was named Tourism Event of the Year by the State of Mississippi.

What goals do you want the city to accomplish this year?
Chuck plans to make Greenville a better place include:
• Ensure that the City is run like a business
• Fully support the Greenville Police Department and creating a new multi-agency Crime Task Force
• Implement plans to address much needed improvements for streets, water and sewer
• Work to identify new opportunities for job creation, and establish Greenville’s first ever internship program
Partner with the Greenville Public School System to improve the quality of education available to our young people
• Establish an innovative program to remove blighted areas from all Greenville neighborhoods

Favorite thing to do in Greenville: Eat at Doe’s, watch a movie at the Nelco and visit with friends.

What makes Greenville special? Greenville is the “heart and soul of the Delta” because the people here make our city special. We’ve got the best people in the world living in Greenville and I feel blessed that they have selected me to represent them as we work to improve Greenville.
