The Greenville Fire Department is here to serve and protect all the citizens of Greenville but we need your help. It takes everyone to combat the unwanted arsons in our community. It is important that citizens understand that the Greenville Fire Department is taking this situation very seriously and it is seeking to speak to anyone with information about any fire. Our Fire Department wants to reassure you that we are committed to solving the arsons.

Arson is not a victimless crime. Children and adults alike are affected by the results of arson. Loss of property, belongings, injury and death are the consequences of arson. Everyone feels the effects of arson. Fire-gutted buildings and burned-out businesses impact communities with a chain reaction of unemployment, a reduced tax base, and higher insurance premiums.

The Fire Department urges all citizens to be alert for any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods, especially around abandoned houses. If you have information about an arson or suspicious fire that occurred in Greenville, call Greenville Police Department, Crime Stoppers, or the Greenville Fire Department. You may be eligible for a cash award. Callers may remain anonymous. We are here to serve you but it takes us all to put a stop to arson.
